Last August Nomadic worked alongside The Grove, part of Leading Hotels of The World, to create an immersive feasting and foraging experience within its sprawling 300 acre estate in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover and lead sponsors Everyman Cinema. Harvesting the best seasonal produce from within The Groves walled garden, guests imbibed wild cocktails from Hama Rum and Kombucha from Real Drinks Co upon arrival with some elaborate garnishes before being taken on a guided foraging tour where they sampled delicious produce from the surroundings. Nomadic at The Grove consisted of four courses each inspired from the surroundings. Upon arrival guests were greeted with a vibrant green gazpacho with crudités and mezze dips accompanied with homemade sourdough bread charcoal smoked olive oil and elderberry vinegar. Next course consisted of smoked venison, nasturtium and lichen before our signature cedar planked trout, bonfire potatoes and freshly picked salad. For dessert we ended with a berry panna cotta and grilled ripened peaches picked by our guests. Vegetarians and vegans savoured a smoky miso glazed aubergine and celeriac steak. After the meal guests gathered around the fire for herbal teas and petit fours. A huge thanks to the Nomadic team for getting this off the ground. We couldn’t have done it without you.
