Last month Nomadic welcomed celebrity and lifestyle guru Giovanna Fletcher along with 30 other guests to celebrate the launch of her newest collection, a collaboration with outdoor lifestyle apparel brand Regatta.
After a brief introduction to the new jackets along with a few chilled glasses of veuve clicquot champagne and rolling canapes sourced from our veg patch, guests were invited to road-test Giovanna’s newest Regatta collection. On a beautiful day, they headed deep into the woods guided by one of the UK’s experts in edible fungi. It was here amongst nature’s carpet they discovered a plethora of medicinal and edible mushrooms such as the puffball, artists bracket, birch polypore, porcelain and bright purple amethyst deceiver, to name a few.
After the foraging tour, guests gathered around the open fire in our snug tipi wrapped in warm blankets to savour a four-course feast cooked over fire by MasterChef Professional winner Stuart Deeley. We kicked off with a creamy burrata swimming in a blood red gazpacho, followed by hispi cabbage grilled over the fire with plenty of umami flavouring, mouthwatering slow-cooked beef ribs, boulangerie potatoes and a rich Madeira sauce followed by a delicious lemon meringue tart and toasted marshmallows around the fire to finish. The meal was paired with a selection of biodynamic wines by our in-house sommelier.
